You would never know it, but this beautiful hammam is hand woven from garn made of approximately 300 recycled plastic bottles. However, it feels and looks like high-quality heavy cotton.
The size is 100 x 200cm, thus a generous size for a throw and practical for many uses.
Colour "Navy" is a classic medium blue, and woven with white to a diamond -pattern it gives a lighter impression. Both ends have a wide white stripe.
This throw is thin and lightweight, and its' qualitites are perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. These are great as sofa throws, easy to take with to trips, can be used as water-resistant picnic throws, not to talk about using them in summer cottages, boats and terasses. Best of all, they’re stain resistant and easy to clean, and a great choice for those with children, pets or a habit of spilling red wine. The hammams are also moth resistant and won't attract dust mites making them a favourite with allergy sufferers.
All this praise is crowned by the fact that the garn for these hammams is wowen in Asia, from recycled plastic bottles. Exactly there, where the plastic problem is the biggest. For every hammam, about 300 plastic bottles are used.
